Life Imitates Art as John Kerry Brands Bush and Republicans Right Wing Nut Jobs

Will Bush Retaliate by Calling Kerry a Liberal Wiener?

Santa Monica, CA – November 01, 2006 – JibJab, a digital comedy network, achieved international popularity in 2004 when their viral online election videos, penned by brothers and co-founders Gregg and Evan Spiridellis, garnered more than 80 million views during the contentious Bush-Kerry election. In the ‘This Land’ parody, the animated John Kerry called George W. Bush a “right wing nut job.” Yesterday, these words were used by the real-life Kerry when he called Bush and the Republicans “assorted right wing nut jobs.”

“At the time, those words were meant to mock the absurdity of the political dialogue,” said Gregg and Evan Spiridellis, co-founders of JibJab. “To hear them uttered by a real life politician is both funny and terrifying, all at the same time. We wouldn’t be surprised to hear Bush retaliate by calling Kerry a ‘liberal wiener’.”
