When the Quake line was written the idea was to represent both NY and Washington DC.  California is used to them after all, but earthquakes on the East Coast?  Seriously?

Given how quickly the line goes by we had to simplify it to one place and an instant read.  Romney, the artist on the scene, selected the Capitol Building which looked great but after we shot it we realized that there are a LOT of images of the Capitol Building in this short, so we went back and transformed it to the Statue of Liberty.  Here’s the original shot…
