In this scene, we’re referring to the mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, and his…questionable activities that you can read more about here.
You can see the steps we took, from animatic, to rough animation, first pass, and final. After the first pass, we wanted to fill out the scene a bit more, so we designed more assets to put on the desk (Canada themed, based on what our Canadian coworkers have shared with us). We had one pass of animation where we added smoke to the scene, but decided it made the scene too busy and took it out for the final.

Loved this scene. You know your city has made it when it is in the Jib Jab year end review.
I was laughing at the items on the desk. Can’t figure one out but working on it.
There is the Canadian Tire Money, Tim Horton’s (Tom Hartees), Maple Syrup, Glazed Donuts, Cannibis Flag, Moose Head, a Jack Knife. The only one I can’t figure out is the coaster under the maple syrup.
