Scene 14 – DOMA


There were a few different elements in this scene – dancing folks, a rainbow that appears (thanks to some ‘masking’ in After Effects), an unfurling banner and a crowd going wild. Basically, to finish this scene, the animator went to town with something called the ‘puppet’ tool in After Effects.

With the puppet tool, you can warp a piece of art work by dragging around different points (the yellow dots). Pushing and pulling these points around bit by bit is how we make things move!
