Giving Tech some Respect
Most people have no idea what kind of coding goes into an interactive site like ours, especially when you’re coming up with and modifying the kind of tools that nobody has ever created before. Our tech force is immensely important when it comes to behind-the-scenes at JibJab and today is a great example: tech just busted their backsides to bring us all sorts of updates all over the site, including a rotating new front page!
Tonight, our peeps in tech are pushing out changes to the site that most people won’t notice, but will appreciate if they ever have a problem in that area. It’s dozens of little things like adding a “+” sign to emails or shortening the URL for our change password page, but you can see how our hard-working Tech team is one of the most important parts of the 37 person company we call JibJab. It’s easy to forget that when you’re laughing your butt off!

Kicking the Fiesta Off Early
You may remember a few months back when we posted some pictures up from our shoot with the highly talented traditional Mexican folk dancers of the La Fonda restaurant. Now their skills can be yours, as we’ve launched a new Starring You dance in honor of Cinco De Mayo We’re really proud of how well it came together, from the detailed backgrounds to the music syncing up just right. Dare we say our classiest piece yet? Even so, we just got a message from someone who said they “almost peed their pants” after casting their head on it. Going Greenish
In a continual effort to let the world know that we care, we’ve installed little recycling areas all around the office. There used to be just one main recycling area, but now we’re capturing boxes, paper, bottles and cans in every little nook and cranny of JibJab. In honor of Earth Day, why not send a few of our free eco-friendly eCards? We’ve got a funny remix about conservation and a tongue-in-cheek look at environmentalism. Check em out, and pass the green!

Dying Eggs, Eggs Dying
We had a little fun at lunch today and busted out one of those drug store egg dye kits! The colors always come out so light… they tell you to add vinegar, but who wants to eat an egg that smells like vinegar? Speaking of, we’ve got a few egg-centric Easter eCards to enjoy while you dye this weekend. They’re eggactly what you need for an eggstremely eggcelent Easter. Curse these egg puns, they’re so fun to write but so painful to read. Happy Easter eggrybody!
Caption Contest!
We’ve been modifying action figures for an upcoming short and this ridiculous one needed a… reduction of sorts to be a little more family friendly. Once we saw how creepy Devin looked with a mask on and the dremel tool, we had to throw some weird sunglasses on him to complete the look. One thing lead to another, and soon the picture was getting passed around our e-mail as a caption contest.
